As a senior Spicer had 82 tackles, five sacks, four forced fumbles, and five pass break-ups despite missing 2.5 games with a cracked rib. Spicer recorded 71 tackles, six sacks, three fumbles caused, and two fumble recoveries as a junior. He was named first team all-Valley at defensive end. He was also a first team all-state underclass selection. Spicer bench presses 315 pounds, squats 560 and vertical jumps 32 inches. He also throws the shot put (58'8"). He carries a 2.7 GPA and has a 900 SAT.
Spicer: "I rush the QB well and have good quickness. I have good technique tackling. I have good swim and rip moves. I can always work on my footwork and on keeping my feet moving."
Scouting Report: Spicer is a very good looking defensive end prospect on film. He is very quick, strong and athletic. He shows excellent quickness off the football and has a real knack for finding the ball. Spicer has a nice change of direction and runs well both laterally and north-south. He is quick off the edge and is an excellent pass rusher. Spicer is a solid tackler. Once he gets his hands on you your going down. Spicer plays under control, uses his hands well and fights off blocks well. Overall, he looks to be a very athletic and top-notch defensive end prospect.
