HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Countryside High School in 2002... averaged 13.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, two steals and two charges taken during his senior season... earned all-country and all-conference honors as a senior and all-state, all-county and all-conference honors as a junior... named his high school team’s best defensive player during his junior and senior years... served as team captain his senior season... established school records for single game, season and career for total number of charges taken on defense... earned the are award for best free throw shooting his senior season... led Countryside in charges and steals as a senior... earned Most Valuable Player honors at the Arthur Hilliard Memorial Invitational tournament in Albany, N.Y. during his senior season... scored 21 points and grabbed six rebounds during the event... Countryside High School is located in the northeastern portion of Pinellas County and serves the communities of Clearwater and Safety Harbor.

Will is the son of Christine and Bill Wightman... is the oldest of three children in the family and has two younger sisters... graduated with a 4.2 grade point average and was a member of the National Honor Society... earned the Palm Harbor Chamber of Commerce Student Athlete of the Month award three times during his senior season. |
