Friday night, Florida State held their first ever 'Jam With Coach Ham' to kick off the basketball season. Luke Loucks won the three-point shootout and Deividas Dulkys won the dunk contest. Florida State loss on Sunday afternoon to Duke, 79-69. Toney Douglas led the No. 22 Seminoles (25-9) with 28 points but that wasn't nearly enough to give the school its first ACC championship. Florida State will have to be content with knocking off top-ranked North Carolina in the semifinals and earning its first NCAA bid since 1998.   Full Story

#22 Florida State (25-8) advances to its first ACC final in school history by defeating #1 North Carolina 73-70 . The Seminoles will play the Duke Blue Devils on Sunday. Senior guard Tony Douglas led the Noles' with 27 points.   Full Story

Florida State’s Leonard Hamilton has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Coach of the Year and senior guard Toney Douglas has been named the ACC Defensive Player of the Year as voted on by the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association. Florida State ended the regular season on a high note with a victory over Virginia Tech, 63-53. Toney Douglas led the Seminoles with 22 points including 16 in the second half. The fourth seeded Seminoles will play the winner of Thursday's game between Clemson and Georgia Tech in the ACC Tournament quarterfinals on Friday at 2;30 p.m. at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.   Full Story

The Florida State Seminoles (22-7, 9-5) defeated the Clemson Tigers (22-6, 8-6) at home on Saturday. The Noles got the big win after leaning on Senior Toney Douglas. The Seminoles took another step toward their first NCAA tournament bid in 11 years. Uche Echefu led Florida State to a victory over Miami with a double-double (18 points, 10 rebounds). This is Florida State's fourth victory out of five games in the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Noles have already equaled their win total from last season. Senior Toney Douglas led the Seminoles with 24 points in the victory and continued his dominance in ACC play. A stingy defense and a lot of Toney Douglas in the second half; it’s been a winning combination for the Seminoles all season long. It was no different against the Virginia Cavaliers on Tuesday night. The Tigers (19-3, 5-3 Atlantic Coast Conference) had beaten No. 4 Duke 74-47 here Wednesday night and looked on the way to a similar blowout, leading 44-25 with 15 minutes to go. But the Seminoles (18-5, 5-3) gave Clemson something the Blue Devils couldn't--a second-half fight. FSU defeated Clemson 65-61 on Saturday evening.   Full Story
