The Arizona Cardinals controlled their destiny with a 30-17 win over the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday night at home. The Vikings scored first and last, but in between it was all Cardinals. The victory gave Arizona a comfy lead in the NFC West heading into next Monday’s matchup with the 49ers. The win was also a moral one as Kurt Warner made a valiant return, and Arizona's defense went to work.   Full Story

The Cardinals must feel better about their long-term situation at quarterback after backup Matt Leinart played efficiently in a loss to the Titans. Quarterback Kurt Warner has taken the normal amount of snaps in practice this week and he's expected to play Sunday against the Titans. Warner suffered a concussion last week in St. Louis and didn't play in the second half. Quarterback Kurt Warner said he felt better Monday, a day after suffering concussion-like symptoms against the Rams. Warner was taken down on a pass play, hitting the front of his helmet on the turf. He stayed in the game for six more plays but left shortly before the first half ended. Coach Ken Whisenhunt is optimistic that Warner will play this week, but that's not a given.   Full Story

But coach Ken Whisenhunt has defended him, saying his sees progress from the fourth-year quarterback. It's possible Leinart could start this Sunday against the Titans.
