Rolle received the Nicola Award in 2005, from the Touchdown Club of Columbus as well.

Columbus, Ohio -- Florida State safety Myron Rolle, who exemplified the phrase "student athlete" in 2008, is the Touchdown Club of Columbus selection as 2008 Male Athlete of the Year. Rolle is no stranger to the TDC having received the Nicola Award in 2005, symbolic of the National High School Football Player of the Year. Since his last visit to Columbus, Rolle has not only graduated from Florida State, but is currently completing a Master of Public Administration in preparation for his Rhodes Scholarship to begin in 2009. On the field, Rolle was second on the team in tackles, and earned second team All-ACC honors.

The 2008 Male Athlete of the Year Award will be presented during the 54th Touchdown Club of Columbus Sports Awards Banquet on Saturday, February 7, 2009. For additional information, visit www.touchdownclubofcolumbus.com.
