Florida State wins 101-53 in first game.

MADRID, Spain (seminoles.com) – All-American center Solomon Alabi and sophomore guard Luke Loucks scored 19 points each to lead the Florida State men’s basketball team to a 101-53 victory over Eurocolegio Casvi Villaviciosa de Oden in the Seminoles’ first of four games on their 11-day tour of Spain.
Alabi and Loucks led six Seminoles in double figure scoring as
Florida State
stretched a 15-point halftime lead (46-31) into a 48-point victory.
With Alabi and Loucks leading the way, Florida State jumped out early and continued to turn the heat up in the second half. After outscoring their hosts by 15 in the first half the Seminoles outdistanced their opponent, 55-22, in the second half.
Also in double figures for the Seminoles were sophomore forward
Chris Singleton
with 14 points, sophomore guard
Deividas Dulkys
with 13, sophomore forward
Xavier Gibson
with 12 and senior forward
Ryan Reid
with 10. All nine players on the trip for the Seminoles earned playing time and all nine scored in the contest. In addition to the six players in double figure scoring, junior guard
Jordan DeMercy
totaled seven points, junior guard
Derwin Kitchen
four and freshman guard
Pierre Jordan
totaled three points.
The game was played Friday night at 8:00 p.m. local time (2:00 p.m. EST).
The Seminoles left Madrid, where they spent the first three days of their trip, following the game for Valencia. The Seminoles will play two games in the next four days in Valencia before playing one final game in Barcelona before returning to the United States on August 22.
