Brown turning Pro

Florida State Redshirt Junior Everette Brown from North Carolina has decided to forego his senior season and enter the 2009 NFL Draft according to multiple sources. Brown led the Seminoles with 13 1/2 sacks and 21 1/2 tackles for losses.

Seminole defensive end Everette Brown has decided to forego his senior season at Florida State and enter the NFL Draft. The North Carolina native discussed his decision to leave school and thanked the Seminole Nation for their support during his four years in Tallahassee.

On his decision to enter the 2009 NFL Draft:

In making my decision I took everything into account but my final decision was made based on what was wise for me at this point in my life.


On what it meant playing for Florida State University:

I grew up loving FSU and I truly appreciate the opportunity to be a part of this prestigious university. I will cherish the memories and experiences from my time here.


On his families support in making this tough decision:

My parents have always led me in the right direction but at the end of the day, they allowed me to make my decision.


On what it has been like playing for Bobby Bowden and Mickey Andrews:

They did not only teach me how to be a great football player but also how to be a great man. I came into the program as a boy and I am now leaving as a man.


On his dream of playing in the NFL:

My dream began when I was blessed with a scholarship to play for FSU under the legendary Coach Bobby Bowden.


On his personal goals for the 2009 NFL Draft:

My primary personal goal for the 2009 NFL Draft is to be the best defensive player of the 2009 Draft.


What I will always remember about playing football for Florida State:

I will always remember having the opportunity to be a role model for the Tallahassee Community.
