Davis Clears the Air: Not Committed

In recruiting it’s never a dull moment, there’s more twist and turns than a CBS afternoon soap opera. Tonight, another Florida State fan site is reporting that defensive tackle Torrey Davis of Seffner (Fla.) Armwood committed to the Noles. However, that’s not totally the case.

“My Coach and I didn’t really want that out there,” Torrey Davis said. “The real commitment will come around our first game of the season. I’m still keeping my option open and I’ll visit Florida on Friday.”

Where do the Noles stand with the Gators?

“Florida State is a big-leader because I really like Coach Odell (Haggins), He said. "Also, with my grades Florida State will work with you a lot more than Florida."

The Scout.com No. 2 rated defensive tackle in the country recorded 60 tackles and nine sacks as a junior.
