Noles Offer WA OL

Bellevue (WA) is the home of the top offensive lineman on the west coast. The big-three Florida schools have though so much of his talent that all of them have tendered him an offer.

Steve Schilling , a 6-foot-5 and 290 left tackle, has 17 total scholarship offers including, Miami, USC, Michigan, FSU, UF, most of Pac 10. Where do the Noles stand?

"Coach Lilly visited my schools and he offered me through my coach," he said. "I don't know too much about Florida State but I do know about their tradition and national championship wins."

Location won't be a big-factor in his decision.

"The three factors for me will be academics, athletics, and the direction of the program," he said.

This summer, Schilling would like to leave the state of Washington to check out some schools.

"I have no plans to attend any camps, but I want to visit all three Florida schools," he said.

Schilling has helped lead Bellevue to wins in the past two Washington State 3A titles. A dominant run-blocker, Schilling is athletic and quick, and also plays basketball, where he was the Wolverines leading scorer. He paved the way for J.R. Hasty to lead the state in rushing.

He is an excellent student who carries a 3.72 grade point average. Recommended Stories
