In the class of 2004, Florida State signed one of the top linebackers in the Southeast. Last year the 6-foot-3 and 227 pound Jae Thaxton walked onto the Seminole campus and immediately made an impact on special teams by blocking a punt against UAB and North Carolina. He also made several tackles backing up Buster Davis and Sam McGrew in the middle and on special teams.
