Ford is Ready for Spring Competition

With the graduation of cornerbacks Bryant McFadden and Leroy Smith, two starting spots have opened up. One spot looks to be secured by former prep All-American Antonio Cromartie. The other will be fierce battle this spring, which starts on March 18th, among three young cornerbacks that were signed in the class of 2004. Freshman Trevor Ford locked down wide receivers back home in Dade County during his high school days. Now, he's looking forward to the spring competition.

"I haven't seen a depth chart but my goal is to be the starter once the season starts," Trevor Ford said.  "I'm going to give it my all and climb the depth chart."   Ford will be competing with freshman Tony Carter... Recommended Stories
