Will Tennessee Commitment Visit FSU?

The top linebacker from the state of Florida verbally committed to Tennessee over the weekend. He has a scheduled officially visit with Florida State on (1/28). Will he still take that last trip?

"Nope," Eugene Hayes of Madison (Fla.) said. "I'm committed to Tennessee and that's it. Tennessee reminds me of home and has that family-type atmosphere."

The Scout.com five-star prospect told The Terriotry.org that he will have to earn his playing time in Knoxville.

A couple of weeks ago, Hayes had an outstanding performance in the Florida/California All-Star game, including a key two-point conversion stop at the end of the game. While down there, he hit it off with T.J. Williams, Fred Rouse and Avery Atkins.

"We exchanged phone numbers and I'm going to try and get them to go to Tennessee with me," he said.

As a senior, Hayes was selected as All- Big Bend Player of the Year by recording 115 tackles, 12 sacks and four caused fumbles.

The Madison County standout isn't academically qualified yet but he's getting close.
