Do Noles Lead For Talented NC Ath?

This past week an athlete from Wilmington (NC) turned some heads at the Florida State camp by battling back and fourth with The Insiders.com No. 8 rated wide receiver in O.J. Murdock. The Territory.org caught up with him to find out how his camp experience in Tallahassee went.
“The
Florida State
camp went well,” wide receiver/cornerback
Levin Neal
said. “I really liked the coaches and the players. I got to hang out with (Chris) Rix and
Xavier Lee
. The coaches told me that they’ll let me know in September if they will offer or not.”
Right after the Seminole camp, the 5-foot-11 and 185 pound rising senior from Eugene Ashley high school in Wilmington (NC) headed up to
Virginia Tech
for a junior day. This summer he has also attended football camps at
Georgia
,
North Carolina
and
North Carolina State
.
Where do the Noles stand on his list?
“Definitely Florida State and North Carolina State are on top,” he said. “I’m going to take all five of my official visits before I make a decision. I’ll probably take most of my visits in December. I’ll also have plans to attend the North Carolina State/
Miami
and Florida State/Florida games in the fall.”
What position will the talented prospect with 4.3 40-yard dash speed end up playing at the next level?
“I’m being recruited to play either wide receiver or cornerback,” he said. “I think I’m a better wide receiver but it doesn’t matter to me. I went both ways in the camp and matched up against
O.J. Murdock
. He was the best wide receiver that I’ve seen this summer. However, I got a couple picks on him.”
Neal touts his strengths on the field as his knowledge of the game and his running ability after the catch.
As a junior, Neal made 47 catches with nine for touchdowns. He also returned a kickoff for a touchdown.
Neal, who is an excellent student in the classroom, carries a 3.4 grade point average.
