Street talks Florida State

Kentavius Street

Greenville (N.C.) Julius H. Rose senior defensive end Kentavius Street holds over 15 offers from BCS level programs. He has narrowed his list to NC State, Florida State, LSU, Ole Miss, and Miami.

Street has set up official visits to Ole Miss and Miami as well an official visit to Florida State for the Miami game.

Growing up in southern Georgia, Street was very familiar with the Seminoles. In fact, Florida State was one of his favorite teams growing up. "FSU, Miami, and Georgia were my favorite teams," Street said. "FSU because of my dad. UGA because it was the in state team and Miami because once I began playing football all my friends loved Miami and as time went on I grew to like them too." Street is looking for a strong home environment in the school he chooses.

"Home environment by far is the most important thing to me," said Street. "That and the coaching staff will be the ultimate deciding factors to me."

The Seminoles have a lot going in their favor for Street, especially defensive ends coach Sal Sunseri.

"I like Florida State's strong tradition, the smash mouth defenses FSU is known for having, and the fact it's not far at all from my hometown," Street said. "The fact that I know that I'll reach my full potential there, being coached by such a high caliber coach in Sal Sunseri."

The 6-foot-3, 265-pound Street is the No. 14 rated defensive end and the No. 123 recruit overall in the 2014 Scout 300. Street is off to a hot start this football season with 35 tackles, nine tackles for loss, two sacks, and a blocked punt through six games.
