Bryan Stork Named to Rimington Watch List

Posted Jul 9, 2013

Florida State veteran is a candidate for the Rimington Trophy, which is awarded each season to the nation's top center.

The Rimington Trophy Committee has announced its 2013 Fall Watch List and of the 44 student-athletes featured, there is one that is particularly familiar to Florida State fans: Bryan Stork.

The Rimington Trophy is annually awarded to college football's top center.

Stork enters his fifth and final year in the heart of the 'Noles' offensive line as the group's most experienced player. To his credit, Stork has started 27 games and played in 35 during his career and has competed at center, guard and tackle.

It's at center where he found a permanent home last year, helping guide an FSU offense that generated the most yardage in school history. Stork started all 13 games at center in 2012 and led the 'Noles with a season-long average grade of 85.6 percent.

In its 14-year history, the Rimington Trophy has raised more than $2.5 million for the cystic fibrosis community.

Also Tuesday, Nick O'Leary was named to the Mackey Award Watch List for the country's top tight end. On Monday, Lamarcus Joyner, Christian Jones and Timmy Jernigan were named to the Bednarik Award Watch List for the top defensive player.
