Williams Not Enrolled

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Redshirt-freshman quarterback Marquise Williams is currently not enrolled at North Carolina, according to a team spokesperson.

Williams is technically not off the football team, however, and is eligible to return to UNC after the spring semester.

The 6-foot-2, 215-pound quarterback, hailing from Charlotte, N.C., played in nine games in 2012. He completed 10-of-17 passes for 127 yards and one touchdown, while also rushing for 186 yards on 29 carries, good for a 6.4 yards-per-carry average.

Williams arrived at UNC in January 2011 as a four-star dual-threat quarterback. He was listed as Bryn Renner's backup on UNC's depth chart in 2012.
