Nebraska will host Florida CB

If there is a void in the Nebraska class still it might be at the cornerback position. The Huskers are zeroing in on some targets with one being Boaz Joseph from Weston (Flor.) Cypress Bay. Nebraska will get a chance to host the speedy cornerback later in the month.

Boaz Joseph from Weston (Flor.) Cypress Bay is looking at a busy month. The three-star rated prospect and the No. 120 cornerback in the nation says that he will take three official visits before signing day in February.

"I have some trips to take care of," Joseph said. "I am going to take three visits; I will visit Kentucky, Nebraska and Cincinnati. I have taken one to Purdue already."

Joseph said that on his official visit to Purdue he figured out what he needs to get a closer look at on his upcoming visits. Joseph says that it's necessary to be comfortable with the people at the school that you will be around the next four or five years.

"The people that will be surrounded by is very important as well as the environment. It's about the coaches who you will be working with for the next four to five years of your life."

There were a number of weekends in November and December that Joseph planned visits, but his Cypress Bay team was making a late run in the playoffs. His team came up just short in the finals and Joseph didn't see a lot of passes thrown his way during the season.

"We fell short in the state finals losing by three points," Joseph said. "I don't really know what my stats were on the season. I made second team all-county. I only had two interceptions, but not many teams threw my way. There were only about two attempts to my side of the field per game."

One might conclude that between the trips that Joseph has either taken or will take that those might be his final four teams. That's inaccurate though. Joseph says that things could change and he doesn't really have a timetable to make a decision.

"Those really aren't my final four. There is time between now and February. Something could come up and catch my eye. I will announce before signing day although anything could happen."

Joseph said that he will run track in the spring. "I will run track in the spring. I run the 100m, 4x100m and sometimes the 400m. My best 100m is a 10.4."

Joseph has set his date to officially visit Nebraska for January 18th.
