Folston visits Ducks

Tarean Folston

Four-star running back Tarean Folston made an official visit to Oregon this past weekend. He's from Cocoa High School in Florida.

Tarean Folston (Cocoa, Fla.) helped lead his team to a first round playoff win over Clewiston thispast Friday. Then he headed west to make his official visit to check out Chip Kelly and Oreon.

"I know he had a great time," said Joe Wilkinson, Cocoa's coach. "I know he really likes the coaches and the atmosphere. I know they lost but I know he really enjoyed it. That's about all he said. As you know Tarean is a man of few words. Plus, he was really tired. His flight home was delayed so he basically flew all night."

Folston, 5-foot-10 and 190-pounds, has already made an official visit to Notre Dame. It remains to be seen who gets his final three trips.

"He has nothing else planned at this time," Wilkinson said. "I know he said he was supposed to set up a visit or two after Oregon but that hasn't happened. I think he will wait until the playoffs are done. He also has the Under Armour game.

"I know Tarean is still talking with USF and coach [Peter] Voss. He talks with coach [Dameyune] Craig at Florida State a fair amount. Then there are teams like Tennessee, Auburn and South Carolina and you have a coaching change there. So I am not sure about those schools."

Folston is the No. 21 ranked running back in the nation and a four-star prospect. Recommended Stories
