Florida OL talks about top 3

Rod Johnson is one of the top offensive line prospects in south Florida and Scout caught up with the American Heritage standout to discuss the latest.

American Heritage is one of the premier small school programs in the state of Florida. They're currently undefeated and getting ready to begin their state playoff run.

One of the big reasons for their success is the play of their offensive line. And no one up front has more talent than Roderick Johnson.

At 6-foot-5 and 320 pounds, Johnson has numerous scholarship offers and the one-time University of Florida commitment says he's currently considering three schools.

"I don't have any visits scheduled yet but I'm considering Florida, West Virginia, and Florida State," Johnson said.

The talented lineman talked about what he likes about each of those three schools.

Florida -- "UF is just a great school. They play really hard and are doing good this year."

West Virginia -- They're a great program, and getting things back together. I see myself playing early."

Florida State -- "They're a dangerous program going against. They play hard and I see myself competing for a starting spot."

Johnson talked about what he'll be looking for when choosing a school.

"The record, the academics, and it'll be a big family decision," he said.
