Texas TE commits to Florida State

Florida State received a huge verbal commitment Tuesday from Prestonwood Christian tight end Christian Morgan. At 6-4 and 255 pounds, he has prototype size for the position and is expected to bring a more physical attitude to the run game.

Christian Morgan told SBNation, "It was an awesome place, great visit. I had been to Florida before on vacation, but never to the Northern part of the state."

"It was awesome hanging out with the staff. coach [Jimbo] Fisher, [offensive coordinator James] Coley," he added. "They are all great Christian men and coaches. My mom and I really felt that we can trust them."

Morgan also spoke with IHigh.com.

"Tallahassee is a cool place," he said. "It has an SEC feel to it. The campus is beautiful in itself. After hanging around coaches and players there, I felt comfortable real quick... We loved everything about it."

Morgan gave a comment to StarLocalNews.com, too.

"In my heart, I knew I'd go somewhere," he said. "I went to Florida State and told myself that I was going to commit after that, whether I liked it or not. I was going to decide after that visit, and I liked it there. I got back and discussed it with everybody around me, and I knew I wanted to be a Seminole."
