Head coach Billy Kennedy continues to put the pieces of a new team together. With as many as seven scholarships available for next year's team, the Aggies accepted the transfer of FSU forward Antwan Space who is originally from DeSoto (TX).

, Aggie head coach Billy Kennedy announced Thursday.
Space, a 6-8, 218-pound small forward, will sit out next year due to NCAA transfer rules and will have three years of eligibility remaining beginning with the 2013-14 season. An early injury hampered his freshman season with the Seminoles, where he appeared in 10 games.
"We would like to welcome Antwan Space as a new member of our Aggie family," Kennedy said. "Antwan is a skilled athletic forward that will add another much-needed scoring threat to the future of Aggie basketball."
A 2011 graduate of DeSoto High School, Space averaged 17.4 points, 11.2 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 blocks as a senior. He led the Eagles to a 36-4 record and a trip to the regional finals, and was named first-team all-state and district 11-5A MVP for his efforts. Space, a national top-100 recruit out of high school, teamed with current Aggie
Keith Davis
to lead DeSoto to the 2009 5A state championship.
While Space is set to sit out next season due to NCAA transfer rules, Aggie Websider has learned that the DeSoto (TX) native will seek to play next season via a hardship waiver. Space left FSU to be closer to his young child.
